From her initial brushstrokes taken over a decade ago, Joanne’s art has continued to grow and unfold…it has deepened yet simplified. Since youth, she has experienced a fascination with Chinese Brush Painting. As she has worked with the watercolor medium, her expressions of wonder seem to have been led by this fascination on a very natural path. Along her journey with watercolors, time spent in observation and in thought guided Joanne to "see" her inspirations in a different way …and therefore, paint with fresh fluidity….striving to capture the essence of the subject….to make visible the invisible with simple brushstrokes. To share these renderings, completes the expression of their spirit.
